Russia progresses, Sweden’s out

18/06/2008

So Russia goes on to beat Sweden 2-0 today. Being Russian myself, I sort-of wanted Sweden to win actually, but the Russians really proved themselves today. They dominated the match and created lots of great opportunities. With an aggressive start and a fine opener in the 24th minute, followed by another goal in the 50th, they sealed the lead in a game where they were the underdogs (having lost to Spain 4-1 and barely beating Greece 1-0).

Good job Russia and I’ll be watching you in the next round.

iPhone 3G: twice as fast, half the price?

9/06/2008

So I just finished up about the new iPhone. I think I’m finally sold on the damn thing. Here’s the summary:

1. Microsoft Exchange support (yay, we can now start buying iPhones instead of Blackberrys)
2. GPS (sweet, my dad can keep the Garmin)
3. 3G speed (WiFi everywhere!)
4. $199 for 8GB, $299 for 16GB

I’m stoked. It comes out on July 11th, lets see if I can get my hands on one. It comes in black or white now too.
